Impossible Tooling Split

Hi all, I am new here and I am having some problems splitting a tool in Solidworks 2007. The part has seemingly no flat surfaces, but thankfully the company we are making it for gave us a plane with the direction of pull. The difficulty is because I am somewhat new at mold making in Solidworks I am not sure if there is something I am doing wrong, but it's not splitting. I get the error "Cannot knit sheets together." I put my own shutoff surfaces in where it was necessary and included those surfaces in the Core and Cavity folders. Also, because of the complex geometry I made my own parting surface which could also prove to be a problem. This part has been very difficult and frustrating any help would be very much appreciated! Thank you.

Personally, I don't split with surfaces in Solidworks. I create a split part (one side). Then I do a cavity from that part and the part to get the other side. I don't use either of those parts for cavity blocks though. They are strickly for designing the split. You get the cavity blocks from doing cavities from those blocks.

Thanks. I will try a split part. Ultimately we did just create the parting surface and then extrude blocks to either side and make our own molds avoiding Solidworks' finicky programming.
